Registration Information for Students with 60-89 Credits
Registration Opens Soon!
Beginning Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 12 p.m. (CST), students who have earned 60–89 semester hours will be able to register for summer 2026, fall 2026, and spring 2027 courses through Self-Service > Student Planning.
Before You Register
Complete Your Financial Responsibility Agreement
Before registering, you must accept the Financial Responsibility Agreement for 2026–2027. You can complete this step any time before registration begins.
Check for Holds on Your Account
If you have any holds (e.g., unpaid balance, missing immunization records), you will not be able to register until they are resolved. Please check your account and contact the appropriate department if needed.
- Student Account hold questions, call Student Accounts at 630-844-5470
- Immunization hold questions, call Health Services at 630-844-5434
Plan Your Courses Carefully
If you receive federal or state financial aid, you must enroll only in courses required for your degree. You are not eligible for aid once all degree requirements are complete, even if you have not applied for graduation.
Double Majors – Plan Strategically!
- If you are pursuing a double major, you should plan to take the final required courses for both majors in your last semester.
Summer 2026 Financial Aid
- If you plan to use financial aid for summer 2026, learn about your summer financial aid eligibility.
Need Help? Connect with Your Advisor
While you can register online via Student Planning, your advisor is available to support you throughout the process.
Email your advisor if you need to:
- Request an exception to a university policy (General Petition Form)
- Register for more than 18 hours in a semester (overload status)
- Repeat a previously completed course
- Need help registering for an online course (eligible to take one ONL course per semester)
Schedule an appointment if you need to:
- Get feedback on your proposed course schedule
- Change/add a major (you may need to meet with a different advisor)
- Change/add/remove a minor
- Register for an internship, independent study, or course by special arrangement
- To schedule an appointment or see when your advisor is available for drop-ins, contact the Crouse Center for Academic Advising at 630-844-6870.
Plan Ahead for a Smooth Registration!
By preparing early, you’ll be ready to secure your preferred courses when registration opens. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your advisor. We will be hosting additional special drop-in hours during the registration period – check your AU email for details on when those are!
