Types of Global Experiences
Short-Term Study Away
Begin your experience in the AU classroom and see what you learn come to life through one to two weeks of faculty-led travel to a destination either in the U.S. or abroad.
Long-Term Study Away
Work with an advisor to plan a semester-long opportunity to study abroad at an academic institution or complete an internship. These opportunities offer immersion in a chosen culture and/or language while earning academic credit. Not all programs require foreign language fluency.
Social Impact Trips
Spend your spring break engaged in service, learning, and activism, alongside peers and AU staff through one of the Wackerlin Center's Social Impact Trips.
Virtual International Internships
Explore opportunities to engage in a global work environment without leaving the U.S.
