Micro-internships
A micro-internship is a short-term, often paid, professional assignment within a specific field. The assignment, which is usually limited in scope, enables a student to learn and demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and build a professional network.
Micro-internship FAQs
Micro-internships can occur anytime during your college career. By engaging these companies early in your college career, you can make yourself a more experienced and appealing candidate for future internship and career opportunities.
Unlike traditional internships, these paid opportunities are available year-round, tend to be remote, typically range from 5 to 40 hours of work, and are deadline-driven as opposed to set during specific hours – perfect for students with varying schedules.
Aurora University students can find short-term, professional, paid work experiences through Parker Dewey Micro-Internships.
Micro-internship projects allow you to demonstrate skills, explore career paths, and build networks as you seek the right full-time role. You can fit these short-term projects around your schedule and they can be done remotely.
