Labyrinth

About the Labyrinth

In 2017, after a generous donation from the Class of 1967, a beautiful labyrinth was built at the Wackerlin Center, modeled after the classic 7-circle design. The labyrinth is both a symbol and a tool for the AU community to use for purposes of meditation, reflection, and vocational exploration. While many find the labyrinth useful for multiple purposes, most find walking a labyrinth a uniquely transformative experience.

This particular labyrinth’s design is an ancient, classical pattern built around 7 circuits, to correspond to the deep symbolism the number 7 holds in various traditions and cultures.

The labyrinth at AU is open to any student at any stage, on any spiritual or religious path, or at any particular moment on their journey to discovering who they are called to be.
