Privacy Statement
The Student Accounts Office is dedicated to protecting the privacy of our student population. We realize that many parents are involved in the financial obligations their children incur in college. The account we serve is the student’s confidential information. We will gladly relate this information to the parent; however, we will need the student’s permission to do so.
If students would like for us to discuss their account information with their parents, the student must complete the FERPA Authorization to Release Information form located through Self-Service. In order for the Student Accounts Office to give specific financial information to a specified 3rd party, the student must select Financial Aid and Student Accounts under information to be released.
Aurora University is bound by the regulations of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) as well as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB) of 1999. Information regarding FERPA can be found in the Aurora University Regulations and Policy Catalog. Questions regarding FERPA can be directed to the University Registrar at registrar@aurora.edu.
For information regarding Aurora University policies in regard to handling confidential information please see the Aurora University Information Security Policies.
