Angie Cornelius

Sashimi the Kaiju was created for the May ArtBar virtual group art exhibition, The Kaiju Show. In my tradition of food illustration, this Kaiju is a confident and skilled sushi and sashimi chef. She is not randomly destructive, however; her work requires finesse which she accomplishes using traditional methods with a contemporary spirit.

En mi tradición de ilustración de comida, este Kaiju es un chef de sushi y sashimi confiado y habilidoso. Artist Biography / Biografía del artista:

Angie Cornelius is the owner of Lonesome Road Studio located in northeastern LaSalle County. Originally from Rockford, Angie is a participating artist of The ArtBar in Aurora, at events and galleries in LaSalle County, and previously with the Batavia Artisan Collective. Her mixed media art with an emphasis on drawing specializes in food illustration, portrayals of women and their stories using references of sociology, pop culture and mythology, and often a combination of the two. She is also a freelance designer with a love of typography and hand-lettering.

Angie Cornelius es la propietaria de Lonesome Road Studio, ubicado en el noreste del condado de LaSalle. Originaria de Rockford, Angie es artista participante de The ArtBar en Aurora, en eventos y galerías en el condado de LaSalle, y anteriormente con Batavia Artisan Collective.
