Students have a number of resources to help them prepare for and succeed with finals this month. From extended hours and additional study locations to one-on-one support and stress-free activities, the AU community is ready to help.

PHILLIPS LIBRARY

The library has extended hours over the next two weeks:

De-stress for Success: Tips for Staying Healthy During Finals
Health Services and the School of Nursing are offering advice about eating, exercising, and studying. There will also be stations for meditative coloring and relaxation software.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER

The Academic Support Center has writing specialists available for scheduled or drop-in appointments from 8 am.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday. Students can make appointments at aurora.mywconline.com.

Writing specialists can help with any part of the writing process, from brainstorming to proofreading.

RESIDENCE LIFE

Reminders for students who live on campus:

  • All residence halls will close for winter break on Friday, December 13, at 5 p.m.
  • If you need to stay in a residence hall after December 13, you must be approved to do so and complete a winter break contract. There are no meals provided over winter break.
  • The last person in each room must sign up for a check-out time and room inspection before leaving for winter break.
  • Residence halls will reopen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 5.
