Performances
Performance, both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble, is at the core of the AU Music major. Throughout the academic year, students have opportunities to participate whether through performance or observation in-person or virtually.

Winterfest: A Christmas Concert | Crimi Auditorium | 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The annual holiday concert takes on a new twist! Winterfest will feature all of the ensembles in the Music Department of Aurora University. The audience will be delighted by a continually changing landscape of ensembles including Aurora Singers, SpartanCor and University Chorale, the AU Band, the AU Orchestra, Flute Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble. Each group will offer pieces of their own and in collaboration with other ensembles. Excerpts from Vivaldi's Gloria, O Holy Night, Holberg Suite, It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, Audience Sing along, pieces on AU's magnificent organ, and culminating with Leroy Anderson's A Christmas Festival performed by all of the musicians. AU Concerts and Recitals
Discover your passion for music through performance. Not only do students partake in concert settings, but AU faculty are highly-trained professionals and accomplished performers themselves. Watch the videos of Associate Professor of Music Cristian Pastorello, Adjunct Music Instructor Joyce Lawson, and the AU Chorale perform in concert.
Touring
Every year during the spring semester, the AU choirs embark on a concert tour to numerous locations across the United States. The tours allow students to experience a commitment to musical excellence, peer camaraderie, building teamwork skills, and learning how to consistently communicate to new audiences.
In May 2023, the AU Chorale embarked on the first-ever choir tour abroad in the history of the university to Ireland. Watch the video below or click here to learn more about the overseas tour.
