Student Information Release Authorization
Aurora University is committed to educating students, faculty, and staff about preventing identity theft. In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or FERPA, which requires colleges and universities to protect the privacy of student records and identities, Aurora University does not release certain information to anyone other than the student unless the student provides written consent or disclosure as required by law. This restriction applies to parents and spouses.
To manage permissions, students must create a FERPA code under “Self” and provide it if making a phone inquiry. A photo ID is required when requesting information in person. Follow the steps to release student records in Self-Service under FERPA.
