Community Speaker and Workshop

José Antonio Bowen - Teaching with AI: A Practical Guide to a New Era of Human Learning
This hands-on, interactive workshop will help you discover what AI can do for you in your teaching and other work (grant applications, communication, accreditation reports, student support, faster grading, reporting generation, scheduling). We will consider a broad range of both AI-resistant and AI-inclusive new assignment techniques. We will also learn about how to select the right AI tool for different tasks, improve prompts and results, create an AI tutor, and approach new AI policies.

9:30–10:30 a.m. | Teaching with AI interactive workshop for all AU faculty and employees interested in instruction
No reservation is required.

If possible: bring a fully charged laptop or device and learn and practice how AI can improve your workflow and teaching.

Council of Independent Colleges Educational Webinar Series
This fall, current AU faculty and staff are invited to enhance their foundational understanding of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) through an educational webinar series hosted by the CIC. Each month will feature a new topic relevant to higher education.

Please note: Registration is required for each topic of interest. AU is a member of the CIC AI Ready Network, so there are no additional fees for faculty and staff to participate in these webinars.
