AI in the Classroom
Artificial intelligence has arrived in the university classroom, primarily through the use of ChatGPT and other generative AI tools.
AU faculty are teaching students across disciplines how to use AI to inform rather than replace their work. Students are learning how to effectively use prompt generative AI tools to support data analysis and research, test theories, and even create art. The coursework is part of AU’s concentrated effort to help students develop the AI skills that employers expect new graduates to master by the time they enter the workforce.
