Academic Support Center (ASC)

Whether it’s your first day of college or your last semester before graduation, the Academic Support Center (ASC) will enhance your learning beyond the classroom by offering free tutoring, study skills training, and writing assistance. Consider us an extension of your everyday education.

We offer a variety of instructional approaches to foster academic growth to help you become a successful, lifelong learner.

Writing Support is available for all students, at all levels and locations. Through one-on-one, in-person, or Zoom appointments, our professional staff members are available to guide you through the entire writing process (i.e., brainstorming, researching, drafting, editing, proofreading, revising, and documenting sources).

Academic Coaching can help improve your effectiveness in and out of the classroom. It focuses on boosting self-confidence, personal development, time management, goal setting, motivation, study skills, and resource connections. Understanding that each student is unique, our goal is to guide you to reach your full potential.

Tutoring Services are available for many undergraduate classes. Weekly recitations, peer-led study sessions, and small group or one-on-one appointments are designed to help you build your confidence in your course material.

Academic support and tutoring are available remotely. Appointments can be scheduled using Academic SupportNet found on Okta. Content tutors for math, science, and over 50 specific classes are available using Zoom. In addition, writing specialists are available seven days a week to help you understand, brainstorm, revise, or polish any writing assignment, big or small.
