Introducing "The Virtual Curator" series featuring Douglas Stapleton, Associate Curator of Art at the Illinois State Museum. In this series, Stapleton gives gallery talks based on art currently on display at the Schingoethe Center in the exhibit, FIGURISM: Narrative and Fantastic Figurative Art.

FIGURISM brings together historical and contemporary artwork from the Illinois State Museum collection that emphasizes the power and range of the narrative and expressive figure in Midwest art. Featured artists include: Gertrude Abercrombie, Ed Paschke, Marion Perkins, Phyllis Bramson, and Judith Raphael.
