Office Manager (Registrar)

Aurora University is an independent, comprehensive institution founded in 1893 offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. Our two campuses are located in Aurora, Illinois and on the shores of Geneva Lake in Wisconsin. Additionally, we have an Educational Center in Woodstock, Illinois. Position Purpose: The Office Manager to the Registrar supports learning by providing administrative support and office management for the Registrar and the staff of the Registrar’s office.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Manages the daily functions of the Registrar’s Office.
  2. Serves as Receptionist and handles daily inquiries.
  3. Data Entry – Makes all necessary changes within student’s records to keep their information current (ie. Update contact information, changes to programs, comments in STRK, etc.).
  4. Orders office supplies and materials as needed.
  5. Generates purchase orders and reconciles office budget.
  6. Processes transcript requests.
  7. Processes enrollment/degree verification's.
  8. Assists with processing Academic Standards correspondence.
  9. Assists with evaluations of transfer work.
  10. Assists with processing petitions and course substitution waivers.

Essential Job Requirements:


  • High School Diploma required. Some college preferred.


  • Minimum of three years of administrative experience.

  • Proficient with Microsoft office applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move about campus
  • Ability to spend long periods of time at a computer station
  • Ability to interact via telephone, in person, and via electronic media
