Adjunct Faculty - Clinical Supervisor of Teacher Candidates in Clinical Placements

Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.

Aurora University is searching for qualified candidates to supervise/evaluate pre-teachers in their methods and student teaching clinical experiences. A master’s degree in a related field, current Illinois teaching licensure in content area of supervision, and five years teaching experience is required. Daytime availability and travel to local schools is required. This is not a full time faculty teaching position. Pay is per student supervised.

Essential Job Requirements:

Education: Master Degree in Education or related field. Professional Educator License/Certification required in content area of supervision.

Experience: 5 years teaching experience.

Skills: Knowledge of content for area of supervision; evaluation of what constitutes good teaching, knowledge of Charlotte Danielson Evaluation System, mentoring disposition.

Physical Requirements: Daytime availability and travel by car or foot to local schools is required.
