Teaching Philosophy
I am a strategy, finance, general management and leadership development executive with more than 20 years of expertise in initiating, leading and delivering cross-functional transformational business and nonprofit solutions. I have experience teaching in the traditional face-to-face, blended and online platforms at the graduate and undergraduate levels. I believe that to be most effective as an instructor, one must facilitate student learning in a forum that is interactive and collaborative and that promotes problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Much like a coach, I apply a wide variety of strategies and mediums to motivate and provide encouragement throughout the process to promote positive learning: including leveraging my past work experiences to connect the scholastic concepts in ways which allows the learner to understand them better and to have break-through moments.
