I started at Aurora University in 2003 and served as an assistant professor in the School of Education until 2006.  Currently I teach in the interdisciplinary and English programs-in addition to the occasional May term course--in the College of Arts and Sciences.  Before I came to Aurora University I spent three years teaching English at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy.  Teaching at the secondary level has shaped my approach to education; I am committed to student-centered approaches to learning.
