Middle School Summer Camp Experiences

Do you want to learn how robots work and code a computer? Do you like to build things and see how they work? Do you enjoy investigating mysteries? If you answered yes to any of these, then one or more of our exciting STEM summer camps is for you!

You will explore science and/or engineering principles and meet new friends at our week long summer experiences, all on a university campus.

The deadline to register for these camps is May 30, 2018.

Summer 2018 Courses

Solve it! - Forensic Science Investigations
When: July 23-27 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where: Aurora University Main Campus
Cost: $350

Participants become part of an actual forensic crime scene team that gathers forensic evidence from a simulated crime scene. Class lectures and labs will provide basic background information, while a variety of hands-on lab activities give participants an enhanced view of such topics as blood & hair analysis, trace evidence analysis, fingerprints, bone identification and more. Students will be presented with a mock crime scene, discovery, evidence collection and analysis, and will use their findings to catch a criminal!

To Coding…and Beyond! – A Computer Coding Experience
When: July 30-August 3 | 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Where: Aurora University Main Campus
Cost: $350

I can code! Explore the world of computer coding. Ever wonder how a robot performs amazing feats, or how your computer game works? Through this STEM camp you will discover the language of computers and explore how they are changing our world minute by minute. Campers will learn to write code and investigate the basic principles of programming to control robots and create games!
