Travel in May 2018 — Experience Austria with Dr. Mark Plummer and Dr. Cristian Pastorello

MUS 2880 (4 cr): Vienna’s Musical Legacy: Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven

Walk in the footsteps of the great composers! Hear their music and tour their homes. Vienna’s Musical Legacy will study the musical history and culture of the enchanting Imperial City and will focus on the lives and music of three of its most famous residents, Franz Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig von Beethoven. Course meeting dates on AU’s campus will be: May 7-11, 2018. We will travel to Austria from May 14-24, 2018. We will tour museums, cathedrals and palaces, with additional trips to Mozart’s hometown, Salzburg, and to Eisenstadt’s Esterhazy Palace where Haydn lived and worked. Trip costs for this travel course are $3,045, including flight, lodging, transportation, some activities/excursions, etc.
