Continuing a rich tradition of thriving arts programs, we offer a wide variety of music, theatre, film, lecture and exhibit programs for students, faculty and staff and the greater Fox Valley community. Many events are complimentary and open to the public.

Arts and Ideas Series

The Celebrating Arts and Ideas series offers unique cultural experiences, free of charge, to the greater university community. Through diverse programming, we feature original and innovative thinkers whose ideas have the power to change our world. The showcase provides an array of entertainment, including musical performances, theatrical productions, art and museum exhibits, films, and educational and leadership presentations that reflect a deep appreciation for the arts. Schingoethe Center for Native American Cultures

The Schingoethe Center, which houses both a museum and an art gallery, showcases more than 6,000 pieces of Native American arts, artifacts and related materials. The center also hosts exhibitions and lectures by professional artists as well as students. The Schingoethe Center is moving to a new space in the soon-to-be-built Aurora University Welcome Center. The museum and art gallery will be closed until Fall 2014.
