A message from President Rebecca L. Sherrick regarding the bomb threat incident of March 20:

"Soon the AU campus will be ready for occupancy again. Thanks to the quick response of the Aurora Police Department, our own campus public safety professionals and others from law enforcement, all aspects of our property have been searched multiple times. Nothing was found. Tonight's Arts and Ideas lecture will proceed in Crimi Auditorium at 7:30 as planned.

The university has significant capacity to investigate threats such as those received this morning as do our law enforcement partners. We regard a bomb threat as a very serious criminal matter and intend to seek full redress for the costs and inconvenience incurred. To email or phone a threat of this kind is an act of domestic terrorism that all of us as Americans must work together to stop.

Accordingly, I am announcing this afternoon a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the person(s) responsible for today's threats. If you have information to share with the university on this subject, please contact Campus Public Safety at 630-844-6140."
