Aurora University invites applications for a graduate assistant position in the sport of women's basketball for the 2013-2014 academic year. The successful candidate will serve as an assistant coach for the basketball program while pursuing a graduate degree at Aurora University. This position is a two year commitment, from August 15th to May 15th each year. The graduate assistant must meet GPA requirements and work responsibilities for reappointment for the 2014-2015 academic year. Includes a tuition waiver and a $5,000 per year stipend.
Requirements: A bachelor's degree is required and evidence of successful coaching, playing and/or recruiting experience in the sport required; experience coaching at the collegiate level preferred. Admission to the graduate program is required. A valid driver's license and driving record which meets institutional requirements is required.
Responsibilities: To assist the head coach with practice organization and implementation, game day responsibilities, transportation, recruitment, video and scouting, equipment control and inventory, and academic monitoring and mentoring. Additional duties may be assigned by the head coach and/or director of athletics as necessary.
