Field Instruction, Manual and Forms
The field instruction experience provides students with the opportunity
to acquire skills necessary to function in a practice setting, while integrating
and applying the theoretical classroom material to actual client contacts.
The students work in close cooperation with the faculty of the School
of Social Work and the agency field instruction faculty in selecting their
field learning experiences.
With over 400 agencies to choose from,
the students can select their field placements from a variety of settings,
including Aging/Gerontology; Alcohol, Drug or Substance Abuse; Child Welfare;
Community Planning; Corrections/Criminal Justice; Family Services; Group
Services; Health; Occupational/Industrial Social Work; Mental Health;
Public Assistance/Public Welfare; Rehabilitation; and School Social Work.
