What is your current job and position? Psychiatric counselor, Central DuPage Hospital; mental-health counselor, Provena Mercy Medical Center.
What advice would you give to future AU students? Stay involved. Be active in campus organizations, such as the Social Work Association, which will help build a network for your career.
How would you describe the faculty teaching your classes? The instructors are amazing! All the faculty members guide their students to reaching full academic potential.
How did the adult/graduate program at AU meet or exceed your expectations? The adult program exceeds my expectations, especially in regard to resources that help me grow as an individual and future clinician. Aurora has an incredible online article database that contains up-to-date research in all issues of study.
Did you find your program to be a good fit for your life? Why? How? The Social Work program is a good fit with my goals. Aurora University's program focuses extensively on the students' perspective model, which helps build client resiliency and empowerment by addressing systematic discrimination.
How has your experience been at AU? Aurora University is an amazing experience. Each semester at AU builds my knowledge needed to be a successful practitioner.
