WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. — George Williams College of Aurora University now offers an endorsement program in Bilingual Education and English as a Second Language (ESL) to assist current and prospective classroom teachers. The program provides important strategies and interventions for the classroom.

Classes may be taken in conjunction with the Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction program or as a separate program for already certified teachers. Coursework is offered to accommodate the working student. Collaboration with classmates and mentoring by experienced teachers and professors add to the comprehensive training.

"This certification program is for classroom teachers encountering students of different cultures who need additional teaching methods geared to these diverse populations," said Judy Moser, coordinator of the Master of Arts in Teaching program. "It provides skills for ESL as well as bilingual or dual-language programs."

Linda Olbinski, academic dean of George Williams College said "From the very inception of this program at Aurora University, the College of Education has taken great pride in keeping abreast of the changing trends and needs in the communities it serves."
