Aurora University Business School Announces New Internship Program, Double Business Majors

AURORA, Ill.—A new internship program and double-major offerings have been announced by Aurora University ’s Dunham School of Business.

Shawn Green, director of the School of Business , said undergraduate students can pursue a double major in two business concentrations or a double major in business and another field.

Business majors include accounting, business administration, finance, management information technology, marketing, and organizational management.

A new requirement for business majors is to complete a minimum of eight hours at an internship placement.

Green said the internship program will give students an advantage in the job market.

He added, “The program has been very well received by students and has sparked interest from prospective students. While internships require significant work to complete, the benefits of the experience are of great value.”

Green said AU’s School of Business is seeking to partner with local companies and organizations for student internships.
