Presenting music of all periods and styles with equal aplomb, the Chicago Brass Quintet will dazzle you with the sheer breadth of their virtuosity and the winning, good humor they bring to their masterful performances. The Quintet is equally at home with the music of The Beatles, Richard Rodgers and Andrew Lloyd Webber as they are with Vivaldi, Bach and De Falla. They rose to national prominence with the release of their first recording for Crystal Records, and in a subsequent appearance at the International Trumpet Guild’s Conference in Ithaca, New York, were hailed as “one of the premier ensembles of our time.” A busy touring schedule takes them to concert venues throughout the United States, Canada and Asia. The quintet has enjoyed a close association with Chicago’s fine arts radio station WFMT, performing live from their studios, as well as on National Public Radio and the Canadian Broadcasting Company.
