Elementary Education, Special Education and Physical Education (K-12) Admission Requirements
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75 to be considered.
- Pass the Illinois Basic Skills Test*.
- Pass a criminal background check and finger printing in Kane County.
- Receive a negative result for a tuberculosis test.
Secondary Education (biology, English, mathematics and social studies) Admission Requirements
- Have a 3.0 grade point average in major courses.
- Pass the Illinois Basic Skills Test.
- Pass a criminal background check and finger printing in Kane County.
- Receive a negative result for a tuberculosis test.

Students must take the Illinois Basic Skills Test. You can find more information at: www.icts.nesinc.com.
Students need to pass all four parts of the Basic Skills Test in five attempts.

Important Dates
If enrolling for fall classes all College of Education requirements need to be completed by July 15th.
If enrolling for spring classes all College of Education requirements need to be completed by December 15th.
