Teaching Philosophy
The teachers who most influenced me were not only interested in my acquisition of knowledge, but also in the development of my character and the nurturing of my potential. I try to live up to their example in my work in the classroom, and beyond it. As I help students explore the most cherished beliefs of others, it’s my hope that in the process they’ll discover the convictions which will inform and guide their own future lives, and enable them to fashion a world which is fairer, sustainable, more just and more generous for future generations to inherit.
