Teaching Philosophy

As a university professor I am committed to student learning.  My objectives are (a) to be  student centered, (b) to facilitate lifelong learning skills, (c) to foster critical thinking skills, and (d) to prepare my students to be competent professionals in the field.  I work to create an inclusive environment in the classroom that encourages diversity, active learning, and application of concepts to increase relevancy of core concepts.  Each student brings different knowledge and experience to the classroom and I am committed to adapting my teaching pedagogy to meet the needs of the learner.
