Your clinical experiences provide an opportunity to apply the theory that you learn in classes in real health care situations and explore the various roles within nursing. The clinical experiences take place during your junior and senior years, and are built into your coursework.
Clinical opportunities include experiential learning activities with:
• Medical and surgical nursing in a collaborative practice
• Psychiatric patients in acute care and community-based settings
• Public health and community-based practices with a global outlook
• Care of women, children and families
• Critical care settings
Your professors will work with you to identify the clinical experiences that will best prepare you for professional practice and pair you with nurse mentors who are active leaders in their fields.
