Email Address: rrahn@aurora.edu

I have been a training and education leader for more than a decade, having worked in educational program development and implementation for K-12, undergraduate, graduate and adult education levels.

I have led numerous industry-sponsored and pure research projects, program development and assessment projects and program coordination projects. I am a learning-centered educator, believing in placing learning first and providing many different educational experiences for the learner. I aspire to emphasize learning rather than teaching, emphasize active student engagement with significant content, and focus on student performance and production. My teaching philosophy initiates from my belief that each and every student deserves my time and energy in helping them to achieve success in becoming proficient in the subject matter content of each course that I teach. I believe that the role of an instructor can be pivotal in the life of a student, especially in STEM fields.
