Tim Houston has 20 years' experience working in Corporate Communications for a number of Chicago-area companies and organizations, including several in the Fortune 500. While his specialization is in Internal/Employee Communications, Tim also has worked in PR, Media Relations, Crisis Communications, Community Relations and Marketing and has experience handling communications in health care, nonprofit and government agency settings. He has served as an adjunct professor at Aurora University for five years, teaching classes at both the Aurora and Woodstock campuses as well as online. Tim currently works in Corporate Communications at Zurich North America Insurance, a Fortune 200 global business insurer with its home office in Zurich, Switzerland, where he leads both internal and external communications for the 4,000+ employee North America Claims organization. Previously, he served for five years as a corporate communicator at Boeing's world headquarters in downtown Chicago, and also held positions at Northrop Grumman Corporation, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, and the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Tim received his bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and his master's degree in Radio, TV and Film from Northwestern University.
