Teaching Philosophy
My goal is to help students become clear, confident communicators and technology-savvy consumers of media. My teaching philosophy is student-centered and collaborative. I believe students learn best by doing, with guidance and feedback from me. During my classes, students may write on-deadline news stories, hear from working professionals via Skype or lead class discussions based on current events. I love AU students and learn as much from them as they do from me. Students often say I’m “tough but fair.”
