The Center for Teaching & Learning's writing tutors can help you become better writers and more efficient editors of your own writing.  We'll give you helpful advice about the research process, grammar, mechanics, organization, and development.  Some people drop by only once, others become regulars.  It's best to call ahead to be assured of an appointment, but if you're in the library (or in a jam), just poke your head in--we might be able to help you on the spot.

If you know that writing is not a strength and you have several papers to write in one term, set up weekly appointments with us.  We'll walk you through the many steps of the writing process: choosing a topic, developing a strong thesis, creating an opening paragraph (Eric's specialty), writing a rough draft, revising the draft, and final editing of the final draft.  If you haven't written a research paper in a very long time, or if you're required to use APA or MLA and you don't have any idea what this means, then give us a call.  We can help.

Call (630) 844-5520 to make an appointment.
