I started my nursing career in medical-surgical settings and went on to public health, critical care, geriatric mental health and general psychiatric areas of practice. I've been employed as a staff nurse, nurse manager, clinical nurse specialist, case manager, researcher, and psychotherapist in private practice. I love teaching nursing students!

I have published on the topics of patient fall prevention and nurse led group therapies. I've been recognized for excellence in clinical geriatric research and nursing practice excellence. My current research interests are centered around school of nursing admission processes and human capitol theory as applied to RN's seeking BSN's.
