My passion and focus in nursing has always been children. To that end I completed a Master's degree in Nursing in Pediatrics and Perinatology and worked for many years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. In addition I began my teaching career as an adjunct faculty at two other universities before joining the Aurora University family in 2005. I consistently attempt to convey my passion for the Profession of Nursing to my students and am very excited to be able to share the history of Nursing as well as a comparative view of global health care systems with students traveling in the May term course global Health Systems in London, England. In teaching I bring to class real life examples from my own practice as well as experiences the students have had in clinical to reinforce the didactic concepts the students are learning.
