Faculty teaching General Education courses are drawn from across departments and colleges, particularly in staffing the IDS 1600 and IDS 2000 courses. The university works to bring together its faculty to develop and teach the IDS ("interdisciplinary") courses, opening up a rich variety of perspectives, approaches, and experiences for students.
Other General Education offerings are housed within campus departments. By taking a selection of "Ways of Knowing" courses in various departments on campus in relation to the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, students also have the opportunity to experience the best the faculty has to offer.
