The key to being successful in an academic environment for both students and teachers is learning. It is important to teach from past experiences to provide the students with real-life examples. It is also imperative for the instructor to be open-minded to the students thoughts and ideas to allow for further growth in their own practice. Being a facilitator in a cooperative classroom allows students autonomy to practice their skills to be prepared for the clinical setting.
