Perhaps a recent visit to your child's school has reminded you of that desire you have to be a teacher yourself, or perhaps you have been mulling over a career change, or are thinking about entering the world of work for the first time.

Aurora University offers a master's degree program in elementary education for those not yet certified to teach. Prospective students looking to earn initial certification in elementary education at the master's level may find the MATC degree meets their needs.

Individuals with an interest in taking courses primarily in the evening, who have earned bachelor's degree in any field other than education, are potential candidates. This is a basic program that offers practical studies in educational foundations, methods, practicum field study, and student teaching, to prepare candidates to work successfully in today's student-centered classrooms. Candidates in this program may also earn a middle school endorsement when additional courses are taken.
