Academic Search Complete, is a scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 4,600 peer-reviewed journals, the searchable PDF content of some goes back as far as 1865. Indexing and abstracting for more than 9,500 journals and a total of nearly 10,000 other publications are also included. Searchable cited references are provided for nearly 1,000 journals.

CARLI Digital Collections
This collection is a repository of 20 visual image collections containing digital material either licensed or created by the member libraries of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI). Some of the collections included are the SASKIA Art Images Collection, World War II Correspondence from the Illinois Wesleyan University, the Ayer Art Collection from the Newberry Library, and the Pullman Digital Collection from the Newberry.

The Conference Board's Research Online Collection (FT)
TCB Research Online is a searchable database of full-text research reports on the latest issues in business management and US and global economics. Proprietary, nonbiased research includes studies of Fortune 500 companies on business trends, leadership decisions, performance excellence, corporate governance, HR, productivity, CRM and more. Economics material includes US and global economic indicators, and analysis and forecasts of US and international economic conditions by TCB's chief economist.

CQ Researcher (FT)

Criminal Justice Periodicals (ProQuest) (FT)

EBSCOhost Scientific American Archive Online (EBSCO) (FT)
The archive currently contains the entire editorial contents of Scientific American Magazine, from January 1993 through to the present. The issues are presented in PDF format, which maintains the integrity of the printed page with all the graphics.

ECO (Statewide Illinois Library Catalog) (FT)
A growing collection of journals in a variety of subject areas, all with full-text articles available online. Articles are presented in page image formats (predominately PDF) that include all original content and images. The interface supports cross-journal searching and browsing within selected journals. Users can view bibliographic information for all journals and view full-text articles from journals to which Aurora University subscribes. Adobe's free Acrobat PDF viewer and CatchWord's free RealPage viewer are required to view the full-text articles.

Educational Administration Abstracts (EBSCO) includes bibliographic records related to educational administration; including leadership, management, research, and other relevant topics.  Look for the Find It! button, because this database does not include full text.  Use the Find a Known Article button or interlibrary loan for articles that are not full text online.

ERIC, the Education Resources Information Center, sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education, produces a  database of journal and non-journal education literature.  ERIC is central to the literature of education, providing the public with a  bibliographic database of more than 1.1 million citations going back to 1966. Journal articles, and more than 107,000 full-text non-journal documents (issued 1993-2004) are now available for free.

FindArticles
Includes the full-text from a wide variety of journals from popular to peer reviewed. Examples include Art Forum, Wrestling Digest, Jet, and National Review.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia (EBSCO) (FT)
For students and adults alike, the Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia database indexes over 25,000 records. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display. This database is updated annually.

General Science Abstracts (EBSCO)
Wilson General Science Abstracts covers 111 English language periodicals in the physical, life, and health sciences from 1984. In addition to feature articles, WGSI indexes biographical sketches, symposia, conferences, review articles, selected letters to the editor, and supplements to journals.

GPO (Statewide Illinois Library Catalog)
Contains citations to more than 450,000 records for documents published by agencies of the U.S. government. Includes congressional reports, hearings, judicial materials and pamphlets produced by depts. of Commerce, Defense, Labor, etc. Coverage: 1976 to date.

HarpWeek (FT)
HarpWeek provides electronic access to Harper's Weekly, the 19th century "Journal of Civilization", and perhaps the most important primary resource for examining nineteenth century America on a cumulative week-to-week basis. Covers the period from 1857-1889.

Health Source -- Consumer Edition (EBSCO) (FT)

The AU Library subscribes to JSTOR Arts & Sciences I, II, III and IV and the Biological Sciences Collections. Please note that JSTOR is an archival database, therefore it does not provide current issues of its journals. Visit JSTOR's web site for more information.

Kraus Curriculum Development Library Online
KCDL Online is a searchable database of curricula, frameworks, and standards. It brings together educational objectives, content, instructional strategies, and evaluative techniques for all subjects covered in PreK-12 and Adult Basic Education. This is a resource educators may use to implement educational strategies and improve learning. The online index covers the 1st through current editions of the Krause Curriculum Development Library. The 21st edition--ONLY-- is available full-text online. The Aurora University Library holds the 20th edition in microfiche.

MagPortal
Indexes approximately 150 Internet-based online journals. Examples include Teacher Magazine, JAAPA: The Official Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Outside, and Diversity/Careers Professional.

MAS Ultra - School Edition (EBSCO) FT)

Military & Government Collection provides full text from over 330 military, government, and general interest publications. It includes titles such as Kiplinger's Personal Finance, National Parks, and Scientific American, as well as peer-reviewed and other scholarly journals, with a focus on engineering.

NetLibrary (FT)
Approximately 1,500 recent imprint titles have been selected in the following subject areas: Business, Computers and Information Technology, Consumer Health and Medicine, and General Reference. The entire collection will be treated as a reference collection initially, with a short--2-hour-- "check-out" time.

Newspaper Source (EBSCO) (FT)
Index and abstracts the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, and USA Today from 1995. Selected full text is available from 143 U.S. and international newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune, News-Gazette (Champaign-Urbana), Belleville News Democrat, and Peoria Journal Star.

Points of View (EBSCO) Look for Points of View farther down on the list that begins with Full Text Journals (and other sources - General).  This is a full-text database providing a series of essays presenting multiple sides of a current issue.  Each entry includes an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and critical thinking guide.  Also offered are guides to debating, developing arguments and writing position papers.

Political Science Complete (EBSCO) provides full text of a worldwide range of topics such as law and legislation, comparative politics, political theory, international relations, humanitarian issues and non-governmental organizations.

Primary Search provides full text from 57 children's magazines appropriate for elementary schools and children's reading rooms. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for over 80 magazines. The Professional Development Collection includes abstract and index coverage for over 595 well-known professional development titles, and searchable full text for 516 journals covering the most current topics in the field of education.

ProQuest Dissertations and Theses (ProQuest) (FT)
Contains citations and abstracts (since 1980) to every doctoral dissertation completed in the U.S. since 1861. Includes some master's theses (abstracts since 1988) and foreign language dissertations. Provides the full-text of most dissertations from 1997 to the present in the Humanities and Social Sciences. PLEASE DO NOT PRINT entire dissertations from the library's or computer lab's printers! Choose the specific page ranges that you need. Librarians and computer lab technicians can show you how to do that.

ProQuest Education Journals (ProQuest) (FT)
ProQuest Education Journals offers information on hundreds of topics in education. This database covers almost 400 leading journals with indexing from 1988 to the present and much full text coverage. This database is funded by a grant from the Aurora University College of Education.

ProQuest Nursing Journals (ProQuest) (FT)
Provides indexing to 275 and full-text to 266 nursing and allied health journals from 1998 to the present. Provides indexing only for 1986 through 1997.

PsycARTICLES (EBSCO) (FT)
PsycARTICLES is a definitive source of searchable full text articles on current issues in psychology. The PsycARTICLES database covers general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research in psychology. The database contains more than 25,000 searchable full text articles from 38 journals published by the APA and 4 from allied organizations. It contains all journal articles, letters to the editor and errata from each of the 42 journals. Coverage spans from 1988 to the present.

A digital archive of research journals in the life sciences maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology at the National Library of Medicine.

ReferenceUSA (InfoUSA)
An online directory that provides detailed information on more than102 million U.S. residents and 12 million U.S. businesses, including small businesses, private companies, and government offices. Produced by the National Association of Social Workers, Inc., this database contains more than 35,000 records, spanning 1977 to the present, from social work and related journals on topics such as homelessness, AIDS, child and family welfare, aging, substance abuse, legislation, community organization, and more. The database indexes more than 450 journals in all areas of the profession. Updated semiannually.

SocINDEX with Full Text (EBSCO) (FT)
SocINDEX with Full Text contains the full text of 428 "core" journals dating back to 1908, and 136 "priority" journals. This database also includes full text for more than 720 books and monographs, and full text for 6,785 conference papers.

SPORTDiscus (EBSCO)
Provided by the Sport Information Resource Centre, SPORTDiscus offers comprehensive, bibliographic coverage of sport, fitness and related disciplines. This database contains over 650,000 records with journal and monograph coverage going back to 1800.

Teacher Reference Center (EBSCO)
Teacher Reference Center provides indexing and abstracting for 280 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.

ValueLine
Includes two sections, Selection & Opinion, and Ratings & Reports. The Selection & Opinion section contains Value Line's latest economic and stock market forecasts, one-page write-ups of interesting and attractive stocks, model portfolios, and financial and stock market statistics. The Ratings & Reports section contains one-page reports on approximately 1,700 companies and more than 90 industries.
