Teaching Philosophy
The focus of my education philosophy centers on students. I believe each student brings a unique set of experiences and perceptions to the learning environment. My job as the professional educator is to create an environment that is respectful and invites the student to feel supported. The ideas of each student has merit and adds to rich discussions that provide engaging learning experiences from which each student can feel valued and appreciated. I see the educator as a facilitator of learning. It is the responsibility of the educator to scaffold information that supports each learner. Further I must provide experiences that offer multiple opportunities to demonstrate learning.
