After completing my degree at Miami, I taught 6th Grade for six years at Illinois Park School, District U-46, Elgin.  In 1974, I became the Principal at McKinley Elementary, Elgin.  Later, I served as principal at Sheridan Elementary, Horizon Elementary, Hanover Park, and then opened Prairieview Elementary in Bartlett as its first principal.  Since retiring from District U-46 in 2002, I've served as an interim principal on three occasions, most recently during the 2005-2006 school year at Western Avenue School, Geneva.   I've also had the opportunity to mentor a number of new principals.  It's a joy and a privilege to travel to the different cohorts that Aurora University serves to work with the educational leaders of the future.
