Recognizing the importance of staff development and the "transformative power of education" in enhancing school improvement, Aurora University works closely with an array of school districts, regional offices of education, along with other educational and cultural institutions to establish teacher inservice partnerships. Through this collaboration, the College of Education strives in cooperation with partner staff to address the unique staff development needs of its partner affiliates. During the last academic year, over 140 partners presented over 600 courses to approximately 6,800 teachers through this partnership model. Operating under a formal inter-institutional agreement between the university and the partner to ensure qualified instructors and rigorous graduate credit course content Aurora University endeavors to manifest its mission of fostering "Excellence Through Collaborative Communities of Learners."
