Dunham Scholars Program
The Dunham Scholars program seeks out a special kind of student, junior standing, chosen not so much for his/her academic standing alone, as for character, work ethic, and potential. As in the words of the program benefactor, Mr. John Dunham, “I want to assist accomplished, well-rounded students who have a sense of what it means to give back to society, who will develop an ethical framework along with the skills to be successful in our free enterprise system.”
Qualifications:
- Junior standing in the fall of the coming academic year with 3.00 GPA minimum, based on a 4.00 scale.
- Anticipated full-time enrollment at Aurora University in the following major fields: Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Management Information Technology (MIT), and Business Information System.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit the Dunham Scholar Application. Application must include the following:
- Cover letter
- Current Resume
- Two essays of no more than 500 words answering the following questions:
- Why should you be given consideration as a possible Dunham scholar?
- Explain a critical event in your life that you believe played a formative role in shaping your character.
- In addition to the application materials above, the following items must be included in your application packet:
- Official college transcripts in a sealed envelope.
- Three letters of reference in their sealed original envelopes - must include references from the following individuals
- a teacher,
- a community representative or a member of the religious community,
- a former or current collegue or supervisor where you have been employed, or where you have volunteered
- Send all of the above materials to the address below no later than March 17.
